Your Role
This is not a high-pressure sales position, and it is not a construction labor role.
Your primary responsibility is to professionally represent Custom Builders Direct, meet with homeowners at pre-scheduled appointments, understand their project vision, and collect the information our office needs to prepare an accurate proposal.
Once your consultation is complete, our office handles pricing, proposal preparation, customer follow-up, contracts, and project scheduling.
What You Will Do
- Meet homeowners at pre-scheduled project consultations
- Listen to the homeowner's goals and project vision
- Inspect residential project areas
- Take accurate measurements
- Document existing site conditions
- Capture clear, high-quality project photographs
- Complete standardized digital inspection forms
- Upload all required information promptly
- Answer general questions about our services
- Explain the next steps in the proposal process
- Deliver a professional and positive customer experience
What You Will Not Do
- Cold calling
- Door knocking
- Finding your own leads
- High-pressure closing
- Negotiating project pricing
- Preparing contracts in the field
- Collecting customer deposits
- Managing construction crews
- Performing construction labor
Who We Are Looking For

- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and mobile apps
- Able to work independently
- Comfortable driving throughout the assigned territory
- Willing to learn our project assessment process
Construction experience is helpful, but it is not required. We hire for attitude, professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail first.
What You Will Need
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Modern smartphone or tablet with a quality camera
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
- Comfort working outdoors when necessary
- Willingness to undergo standard background screening
Performance-Based Earnings
Typical earning potential: $3,000–$6,000+ per month, depending on consultation volume and performance incentives.
Compensation includes guaranteed pay for completed project consultations, quality incentives, performance bonuses, and mileage reimbursement for qualifying long-distance travel.
